Burt Wolf's Travels and Traditions

During last year, television host Burt Wolf traveled to four important Catholic shrines as part of his series, "Travels and Traditions", a series that has been aired on public television. What separates this from other travel shows is that Burt asked our Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson, for comments during most of the episodes and, in the episode dealing with the Knights of Columbus, gave a history of the Order! One additional bit of information is that, while Burt was filming the Vatican episode, His Holiness, Pope John Paul II went to his Eternal Reward and so there is additional info on the Pope as well. I have seen several of these shows and they are excellent. Consult your local PBS station for air times.

Cardinal O'Malley's Blog

Boston's Cardinal Sean O'Malley has started his own blog. This is the first time that a Cardinal has done such a thing and, from the comments being left, was a stroke of genius on His Eminence's part. So that you can find his impressions of his first trip to Rome as Cardinal, click on September 2006 on the right hand side of the blog page and start on the 21st. He posts once a week and his comments are always interesting and timely.

You can read his blog at Cardinal O'Malley's Blog
